Winter’s fiancé is able to assist in a limited amount because she is still in the FBI. Somehow though, Winter believes this man is involved with his wife’s murder. He only goes after men who abuse their women. While looking for his wife’s killer he comes across a serial killer who sees himself as a protector. She was shot in a parking lot after buying items for their unborn child. With nothing to do but help care for his fiancé’s young daughter he decides to try once again to look for his wife’s murderer. Walking with a cane he’s not a very imposing figure.
